Lower unit costs and fast job turnaround times considerably increase production efficiency. This goes for the whole Plus Format family featuring 0B plus, 3B plus, and 7B plus. Major contributions to production efficiency are made of course by the "Makeready Time World Champion" ROLAND 700 DirectDrive, and also the ROLAND 700 HiPrint, which is available with QuickChange modules for dramatic makeready time reduction.

ProcessPilot as a standardization tool is an efficient aid to maintain achieved production standards and is suitable for supporting the ISO 12647 standard with additional System Brunner evaluations. InlineColorPilot measures color inside the press and reduces waste as well as makeready time. Measuring and regulating is done without having to pull sheets from the delivery. A Unique Selling Proposition is okBalance®. Gray balance control ensures more stable quality over the entire run and additional process diagnosis reduces waste.

Web presses
manroland newspaper presses show the way to completely automated newspaper production, for example with APL, the fully automatic plate changing system. Developed in cooperation with KUKA Roboter GmbH, this is the first time robotics technology has been used on a newspaper press. The LITHOMAN series will also be shown with APL. New in commercial web offset are DynaChange and CutCon plus. With CutCon plus, a classic mechatronical system, manroland reduces waste dramatically after reel splicing and job changeover. DynaChange allows plate changes at full press speed and thus greatly reduces makeready times.
