ROLAND 500 Shines with ROLAND InlineFoiler Prindor
Cold foil enhancement in format 50/70 at drupa 2008
A new era in product value has dawned for the format 50/70: the ROLAND 500 is now available with ROLAND InlineFoiler Prindor for cold foil enhancement. The development is perfectly in line with manroland's Value Added Printing strategy, which is designed to increase production efficiency and product value.
With over 40 installations, the ROLAND InlineFoiler Prindor has made a triumphant legacy for the ROLAND 700 HiPrint in 70/100 format worldwide. Now, the ROLAND InlineFoiler Prindor on the ROLAND 500 opens up new business perspectives. Premium packaging, high-quality labels, or beautiful book wrappings - there is hardly an application field in sheetfed offset printing that is not suitable for inline cold foil enhancement. Of course, this also includes job printing, e.g. for productive and high-value enhancement of magazine and advertising printed product covers.
Up to three foil reels at the same time
Whether single or multi-reel – the ROLAND InlineFoiler Prindor is offered in both versions for the ROLAND 500, just as it is for the ROLAND 700 HiPrint. The ROLAND 500 can thus be equipped with a maximum of three foil reels of different widths, allowing individual foil reels to be changed easily. The ROLAND 500's ROLAND InlineFoiler Prindor is equipped with two smaller lifting tools that enable timesaving simultaneous change-over of the unwinding and winding sides. An additional control cabinet is unnecessary, as the ROLAND InlineFoiler Prindor's entire control is integrated in the tower superstructure.
Inline cold foil at full speed
Just as true for the ROLAND 500: using the ROLAND InlineFoiler Prindor does not limit speed. A maximum of 16,000 or 18,000 sheets per hour, respectively, can be applied in straight printing, and up to 15,000 sheets per hour in perfecting. Presses delivered after October 2005 can be retrofitted with the added-value unit. The ROLAND InlineFoiler Prindor has definitely sparked interest for cold foil enhancement in format 50/70: some ROLAND 500s have already been purchased in advance with the new option.
