Eleventh PraxisDialog at MAN Roland:

On September 20 at MAN Roland in Offenbach, the three most important screen technologies will be compared.

Halftone screens, frequency-modulated screens and hybrid screens – what must prepress people and press operators observe in using the different screen technologies?

On one thing all printers agree: they want always to produce the print products of their customers in the best quality possible. PraxisDialog conveys the necessary knowledge for proficiency at handling the different screening technologies. This knowledge enables printers to offer the screen appropriate for a particular application, and to achieve the best possible print result for the customer.

The speakers – Stefan Wundrig, Project Manager at Agfa Gevaert AG, and Thomas Schnitzler, founder of CtP & Print QualityControl – report on their experiences in working with the screening processes. They provide specific information about the diverse applications, pointing out the advantages and disadvantages of each process. Then, at the MAN Roland Graphic Center, the differences between the three types of screen are demonstrated to the participants by test printing.
